Augmented Reality T-Shirt Design

When I first started working at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, I figured there should be a t-shirt branded with the Museum logo sold in the store. I decided on an augmented reality t-shirt because I thought it would be cool (it was 2018 at the time).
My idea was that t-shirts travel the globe (people on vacation, summer break, etc) and often become a conversation starter. And with the augmented reality piece, an interested party scan the t-shirt (with their own phone) to experience the following:
- a 2-minute custom overview video about the Philadelphia Museum of Art
- and a button that links to the website to buy tickets
- and a button that links to the online store
And Zappar (the augmented reality app) provided analytics, click through metrics and other information to see how often users scanned along with location metrics of a scan (i.e. someone in scans the t-shirt in Italy and we can connect that ticket sales and the like). And the added benefit was that Zappar stored all of the data (video, analytics, etc) on their server’s accessible from anywhere.

I created a custom video showcasing some impactful art pieces at the Museum and combined it with the audio from an official recording done by the Museum. I think the audio was part of a TV commercial.
Alas, nothing further came of this. The Director of Retail at the time thought it was a nice design and idea but the design never made it into the store. Only one shirt was ever produced (I think it is in my closet somewhere) and I have the original files on my Project folder on my computer.
