Love Letter
Another song from the Vault (originally recorded November 2018). I was inspired to make this video for 2 reasons: Valentine's Day and Black History Month.
Every photo celebrates black beauty in front of AND behind the camera. I wanted to make sure this video celebrated black history month by giving the credit to my black brothers and sisters for the creativity they put out into the world...for free.
Also, everything on the desk is real. I set up my actual desk with real props and used a green photo inside of the photo frame (to green screen out later to replace it with the digital photos of the models). I was going to animate the lyrics being handwritten but my computer at the time couldn't handle that processing.
Also the cover art for the song is made up from the lyrics for the song set to a heart shape. The lyrics are also included in the actual 'Love Letter' title as well.
I made sure that EACH of the 18 photos used in this project were freely available online AND that every model AND photographer was credited with their Instagram account.
Give credit where credit is due, no matter how much time it takes to do so.
